The Gamma Tau chapter was founded on December 2, 1955. Over 60 years later, we are still thriving at OCU through participation in philanthropic, social, and competitive events campus-wide. We pride ourselves in being genuine, passionate, and fun-loving women who strive to uphold the standards of Alpha Chi Omega.

Alpha Chi Omega was founded in 1885 at DePauw University in Greencastle, Indiana. Founded as a music fraternity, Alpha Chi Omega has kept in touch with its musical roots through ritual and appreciation. Dedicated to advancing "the intellectual, social and moral culture" of its members, our founders' vision has grown to include our women's fraternity, the Alpha Chi Omega Foundation, and the National Housing Corporation. Together, they serve more than 200,000 members in more than 130 collegiate chapters and 200 alumnae chapters nationwide.
